Goa Initiative:

In spite of fast growing and market driven economy and globalisation, artisans and handloom weavers constitute the second largest workforce, next only to agricultural farmers, in the Region. The Foundation has been working with the artisans relentlessly at the grass-root level to improve their socio-economic condition, advocating policies for all round of the craft sector at the policy level, working towards strengthening people to people contact for improving bi-lateral relation at the Regional level.
The Foundation has been working to identify villages and communities in the remote locations which have the skills to produce quality Handicrafts and role of Government of Goa is very crucial that can help in making it a sustainable socio-cultural enterprise and also an alternative source of livelihood. The Foundation ensures that all these initiative are community driven and having larger community participation.
